NATURAL EVOLUTION


West London salon owner Mitch Zidu noticed a shift in his clientele: more of his customers were looking for sustainable hair products, eco-friendly practices, and a natural, understated style. The challenge was to evolve his brand so it reflected both his reputation and the values of a more conscious audience.




PERSONAL TOUCH


Mitch realised that his brand needed to reflect both his personality and the preferences of his clients. Having owned a well-known hair salon in Stoke Newington, Mitch had developed strong friendships with his clients. Many of them were more familiar with the salon by Mitch’s name rather than the salon’s actual name "Colour Box". This personal connection made using his name as the logo a natural choice.
        The new identity put Mitch himself at the centre. By using his own name as the logo, we highlighted the trust and personal connection he had already built with clients over the years. A neutral, earthy palette rooted the brand in nature, while authentic photography celebrated real people and natural beauty rather than polished, studio-style imagery.  





RESULTS - A SUSTAINABLE CONNECTION


The rebrand positioned Mitch’s salon as a trusted space for sustainable hair care in West London. By aligning visuals, materials, and messaging with eco-conscious values, the new identity resonated strongly with existing clients and attracted new ones who shared the same commitment to health and the environment.
        Identity: A logo based on Mitch’s name, drawing on his personal credibility 
and style.
        Visual Language: Neutral tones with deep greens to suggest sustainability and a natural ethos.
      Materials & Touchpoints: Eco-friendly paper stocks and printing methods, paired with typography chosen for its organic, handcrafted feel.
        Digital Presence: A refreshed website featuring real client portraits shot in natural light, reinforcing authenticity and approachability.
